Dr. Gregory P. Martin
After graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Illinois Dental School in Chicago, Dr. Gregory Martin chose to do a General Practice Residency at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. There, he was able to provide dental care to medically compromised patients. Whether it was a heart, cancer or transplant patient, Dr. Martin worked closely with teams of Doctors to coordinate care for the patients to provide optimum results.
A native of Champaign, Dr. Martin always knew that he would return to his hometown to practice dentistry. Kind, caring and gentle, Dr. Martin takes time to get to know his patients and build long lasting relationships.
Dr. Martin is currently involved with mentoring aspiring dentists through the Molecular and Cellular Biology Department at the University of Illinois. He shares his practical experiences and invites the students to observe him in the office where he hopes to show the students how multifaceted the Dental profession is.
Along with his wife Karen, Dr. Martin has four sons: Daniel, Andrew, Michael and Nathan. Dr. Martin has taught the "Dentistry" merit badge for the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He is proud of his four sons who all achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Dr. Martin also enjoys Fighting Illini Athletics, gardening, running, boating, photography, high adventure hiking and family time.
